Bernard P. Grunstra, M.D.
Bernard P. Grunstra, M.D., received his Doctor of Medicine degree at the University of Florida College of Medicine, graduating with honors in 1985. At the University of Rochester Strong Memorial Hospital, he completed his residency in both Internal Medicine and Pediatrics. Since entering private practice in 1989, Dr. Grunstra has been a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
In 1991, Dr. Grunstra and Michael Fletcher, M.D., launched the practice that grew into what Internal Medicine and Pediatrics of Bristol is today. Dr. Grunstra serves as a Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine and Pediatrics with the Quillen College of Medicine. He also works closely with PMG Research of Bristol to conduct clinical trials for pharmaceutical sponsors.
Dr. Grunstra and his wife, Ruth, reside in the Bristol area and have eight children and four grandchildren. Their interests include church, family activities, home schooling, and fly-fishing.
